About Me
Experience
I recently have become a Registered Kinesiologist, but my previous work and volunteer experience included working with a variety of populations. I completed a 200-hour placement with St. Joseph’s Care Group where I had the pleasure of observing and working with groups of people who have chronic pain. I also have enjoyed coaching various sports at different age ranges where I get to encourage people to enjoy and learn various skills. I now observe and assist people in improving their ability to move so that they can reduce pain, perform in activities that are important to them, and increase quality of life.
Naturally, as someone who enjoys and values physical activity, I pursued an undergraduate degree in kinesiology. Taking the kinesiology program at Lakehead University helped open my eyes to some of the possibilities a Kinesiologist can do such as chronic pain management. Over time, I have developed an interest in multiple areas that affect our health such as exercise, diet, and mental practices. My desire to learn only continues to grow so that I may further develop my skills and/or knowledge. I have come to know that as one learns, they find out that there is more to learn.
