Kinesiologists are regulated health care professionals who specialize in the science of human movement and exercise. They evaluate your injuries and assist in rehabilitation and prevention of injuries, including chronic disease treatment. Furthermore, kinesiologists will guide you in overall preventative maintenance for your health and well-being by enhancing your movement and performance.
Kinesiologists obtain a 4-year undergrad degree in Human Kinetics or otherwise titled Kinesiology. They are trained in the areas of physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, athletic testing and training.
A Kinesiologist does not have a defined specialty, therefore they can practice in a wide range of settings to provide services that relate to movement and exercise science.
